Emma Meierhofer, the mother of Beatrice Maier Anner, wrote her biography between 1989, when she was in California, where she started, and finished it in Confignon, where she lived and passed away. Her autobiography is written by a brillant women, who grew up in one of hte most modern households of Switzerland in the 1910s, saw her family disappear violently, but stayed focused on her love of literature, art and civilisation.
